Is my transmission done for?

2016 Sierra, 103k mi, no error codes or lights.

Without warning the clutch seems to completely disengage. I will loose every gear but Neutral. Taking the key out and starting it again fixes it for a time. Problems usually start after I come to a complete stop in Drive (like at a red light).

Can someone tell me its a cheap fix computer problem please. I know its not the truth but it might make me feel better anyway.

Have you checked the transmission fluid level/condition?

Fluid is old but still there at the right levels

Do you just use the truck to go to work, shopping, etc.?

Or are you also using it to tow your boat, for example?

Have you ever serviced the fluid and filter?
