In search of a manly, professional family car--does it exist?

@cwatkin: Chrysler gets a bad rap all the time. I can say that in owning a 2006 300, which is widely reported to be the worst year for them, that I’ve had little trouble and am at 90K miles. (having said that, I’m now screwed, no doubt) My old 94 LHS was the most overall trouble-free car I ever owned.

RE: the manliness of cars, I agree that if you are a reasonably secure person, that it shouldn’t matter what you drive, but I’d personally always feel a bit shameful if I drove a pink VW Beetle, for example, especially if a badass looking Mustang or similar pulled up next to me.

Have your husband go the hipster route and be ironic in his family car choice; get a Corvette. Barring that choice, have him hang a set of trucknutz on whatever he gets.
