Of course, I just looked up the cylinder orientation on this engine and the #3 cylinder is on the right bank (front of car) in the middle. The EGR feeds on the left rear nearest cylinder 6, so…the #3 is neither closest to or farthest from it - or anything like that.

TSM, good luck. My question wasn’t answered and was intended to understand if the cracking was the result of indirect or direct force on the plug. Wouldn’t be the first time I saw a seriously worn bearing allow a piston to hit a plug…
