You are quite correct. High speed runs are not for rookies. Even one misplaced rock that you hit at 140 mph can send you to Valhalla.

That was an excellent reply where you mentioned about thinking 10 moves ahead and looking for signs of other car activity of possibly pulling out. Your reply was almost exactly how I was thinking. Also, I forgot to mention, a little bit before I approached the curve where I cut loose, I shut off the radio, I wanted full concentration not only visually, but through sound as well. If I know I am going to go fast, the radio is NEVER on.
