Back in 74 prior to starting a new job, we took a June trip in my new Olds to Padre Island and points south. We collected some nice sea shells. Being a midwest city boy I didn’t know much about sea shells. At any rate I put them in the trunk and we drove back to Minnesota. It was over 100 degrees in Texas and didn’t get much cooler the rest of the trip. Back home I opened the trunk and was knocked over by the stench of rotten sea food. Phew, double bagged those shells, aired everything out, and cleaned the trunk but man did that stink. I guess they clean them or bleach them or something, I dunno, kinda lost my interest in sea shells.
