Oh wow, I never thought of it this way.
Thanks. I definitely do not want to get into trouble. I’ll do it the right way.

What engine is in your 2010 Fusion? If it’s the 2.5 liter four cylinder then the 6 smokes it on torque and horsepower. If it’s the V6 then I don’t know how you thought a normally aspirated 4 cylinder would give you better performance. Plus the Mazda transmission shifts way better than the Ford. It sounds like spent some money on your Fusion to customize it and now that you have a much better vehicle, you expect it to feel better in stock trim than a car you have spent years customizing.
Honestly, keeping an 11 year old car over a 3 year old car seems like a recipe for lots of repairs in the next few years. My 2018 Mazda 6 has almost 53,000 miles on it. So far I have simply done oil changes, wiper blades, air filters, and one set of spark plugs. Tires and brakes are all original and in good shape. And I have the turbo 4 cylinder so LOTS of torque (310 lb-ft at 2,000 rpm) and super fun to drive.
