I had a stopover in Boise and drove an Indian truck

So I had wrecked my ranchero in CA on coastal highway near Big Sur, late 70’s and was on a bus tour back, 10 stops but unlimited time. Stopped in Boise I believe it was and bought a bunch of 8x10 glass plate negatives at an antique store and talked a bit with the owner. He asked if I knew anything about electronics, I said yes. I have an old Wurlitzer jukebox some guy in CA wants to buy it for $750 if it works. It was not working so I got it up and running. He gave me an apartment above the store and ran many errands for him in what I recall was an Indian model truck. Searched the internet and found one pic of a Ford Indian truck, but searches seemed useless. It had the visor over the windshield, limish green color. Might anybody know what year and company this truck might have been?

About what year was it?

Late 70’s, though the truck was a relic at that time I believe

So maybe a ‘50s truck?

My guess - somebody liked Indian motorcycles and stuck one of their nameplates on his pickup. I don’t know of any pickups with the model name “Indian”.

That might be a good guess, thinking it might have been an IHC, but I could be very wrong.

There you go. Chevy named all their light trucks Apache for ‘58 and ‘59, according to Wiki.

here is an Indian tribute ford truck. LOL

Indian made a truck in the 1930s.. see the picture below An Indian Four Square Truck

Basically a bike with a box!

Did the one you drove look like this?

That reminds me of Crushman. I saw one with a big popcorn maker attached.

George@SanJose messaged me, might have been an Apache. After 45 years anything is a possibility.
