How old a car would you trust

When you are in a business, especially automotive you make a lot of contacts that lead to contacts that lead to contacts… lol That is one reason Dan Short gets parts, that and he has a team of professional parts finder people (what ever you want to call them) and it takes months or years to track down some of those parts or he just makes what he needs or refurbishes them himself/team… Remember his builds can take 12-24 months or more… Plus I’m sure he pays a fair price for what he needs… IIRC he only marks up any parts he gets 10%, and in the low $100.00 range last I checked (been a while) so he is very fair priced for wat he does, but you know you will be charged for every minute he works on your car with no short cuts…

I was thinking of Boyd coddington before he died but couldn’t remember his name, and that skip guy. I still am not totally sold on the idea of spreading body filler all over the car after they have done all the metal work. Of course when I was a kid reading car magazines, it was always lead filling. No one used body putty.

Dan Short said that the main reason he stopped recording the show is that they were losing money on their main business due to delays caused by TV production.

Just curious, who is Dan Short? I don’t recall hearing that name before. I know who the Count is, aka Danny, but that’s about all the names I know in the old car restoration business.
