How can mice and rats under the hood be controlled?

I live in the country and had this same problem as well. I would use rat traps on the packrats that caused so much damage but didn’t want to leave a baited trap around. Those things are NASTY if a pet or other animal gets into them.

Another problem with living in the country is that people from town dump animals. I had two pregnant cats dumped because anytime a female cat gets dumped, it has to be pregnant. Once the kittens were raised and I had the mothers fixed, I kept the mothers, gave the kitties away, and no more rodent damage! My only complaint is that they like to leave dead animals around but I know they are doing there job.

Yep after five years same answer-cats and garages unless you prefer snakes. Even spraying that stuff around, you still need a garage.
