Honda CRX Cat problem

My car has no go! It does not over heat, putter, or rev on its own, When I hit the gas I get high rpm and very slow acceleration. I have not gone under the car to check with a heat reading laser yet but I want to make sure before I replace my cat.

A bad cat usually causes the engine to bog down and can not accerate. Sounds likes a slipping clutch or tranny.

I agree with knfenimore. Why do you think the catalytic converter is bad?

I agree with @knfenimore as well. A vehicle that has a bad (clogged) catalytic converter will not rev high and move very slowly.

Concur with the slipping clutch. Get it fixed quickly - you don’t have many more miles left before it won’t go at all.
