If wild temp swings cause cracked dashes and windshields, there’d be a long line of cars waiting to be fixed here in Ohio
I will say this . . .
I’ve seen all sort of materials used in vehicles
And judging from the picture, that dash looks to be pretty brittle
i’ve seen the same thing happen on some other vehicles that were of a similar age
A lot of dashboards have a vinyl covering, over foam
However, that Dodge dashboard looks like it’s essentially one huge painted plastic piece
I could easily see how large parts might just break apart after several years of roasting in the sun
I think it’s just a junky old dash, at this point
Nothing more, nothing less
I believe you guys talking about “extracurricular activities”, pranks, etc. are letting your imaginations run wild
