Heirloom quality

I have an electric mower with a spare battery. Every now and then with heavy or wet grass I need to finish with the second battery. Otherwise it’s great and far less noisy than a gas mower. Cleaning the underside of the mower is easier, since you don’t have to worry about spilling gas when turning it over.

Everything has its place and everyone has different needs. There is no way I could make do with an electric chainsaw or lawn mower. I need far too much up time, power and utility on a regular basis for anything electric powered in the foreseeable future.

For most people, improving your home beyond typical longevity does not make financial sense unless it is your last house. I have a buddy that goes way overboard on everything around the house. It makes no sense since this will not be his last house. When he sells in 10 years, the next people will not pay extra for that overkill so why do it? You’re wasting money…

I don’t use a chainsaw all that often so my 2 cycle chainsaw takes some time getting started, so long that I can cut down 2 trees (12" dia) with the cordless before I can even get the gas one started. You have to use one to believe it.

I need a big riding lawn mower so that will be gas for the foreseeable future. My big tiller is gas but I do need a new Mantis and I’m hoping they will come out with a cordless model. I don’t want another 2 cycle.

getting one ,that 80 volt looks like it would do thr trick ,They do
have electric riders with over an hours usage ,but those things are
expensive, alcohol laced gas is enough to make one start looking at
alternatives .

Yeah, I’m hoping this is my last house as well. I told my wife the next time I move will be in an urn. So I’m going a bit overboard with repairs and new features so it’ll last the rest of my lifetime at least.

I’m finally getting back to paying attention to my toys. Had a bass boat that sat for 7 years and recently revived it. Also revived my motorcycle that sat for several years. Now working on some cars that have been sitting even longer. Aging gas is a menace now. It used to be an inconvenience but now it’s devastating.
