i currently changed my rotors and brake pads on my car now there is a bad grinding noise on the right side i cant figure out what could be the problem, any ideas on this issue?
Go back under and look again. Recheck your work.
The hub does not have to come off on that vehicle to change the rotors, so unless you for some reason removed the hub the only thing I can think of would be something rubbing on the rotor. It could be a dust shield, could even be a brake line…so I’d check quickly.
I’ve actually seen a brake pad installed backwards on a vehicle where the backing plate of the brake pad was coming in contact with the rotor. When the owner brought to me to try and figure out what was causing the noise, and when I showed them the problem, their face turned beet red.
