Get ready for more severe supply-chain issues

I wonder if this is an indication of more supply issues in our future:

Ima go get mah flags and be all like, “Carolyn, Carolyn, these boys is bein bad!”

Seems like that to me also. Interstate commerce clause grants Congress the power “to regulate Commerce … among the several States … .” Hard to figure out why congress hasn’t acted? As I’ve already mentioned I believe the Calif govt’s actual goal in all this isn’t to make it difficult to be a trucker, but to make sure the truckers and the trucking companies pay all their taxes.

Has nothing to do with California, it’s IRS regs

If a trucker’s routes and his business are confined to one state, then he is under the purview of that state’s laws and regulations. Once his business takes him across state lines, then federal laws and regulations come into play.

Well what state is the house speaker from and what relation is the gov? Not hard at all to figure out.

Not in 2017.

I deleted a bunch of stuff that had nothing to do even with the independent contractor trucker issue.

If China attacks Taiwan, be ready for a real mess! This article focuses on Apple but the same would hold true for any major automaker and ANYONE requiring chips in their products which is most things these days. This would turn the world into a complete mess and supply chains would be severely disrupted for pretty much everything. It would make the Ukraine disruptions look like nothing.

Well if an executive climate change emergency declaration is made as promised, this will be the least of our problems. Interesting poll out of New York where 1-3% think climate change is our biggest problem.

News here in Silicon Valley is that Apple is downsizing a little, said to believe upcoming economy may be on the fritz. Doubt their thinking is related to Taiwan or climate change tho.

I believe that TSMC is building a factory in the US because of the Mainland China threat of invasion. The last article I read on it reported that the factory will be in Arizona.

Oh, oh, totally forgot about that issue… lol … Calif gov’t has passed another law about this , I think it on the news the other day. Claim was the bill is to address the 1000+ truckers who complained (via lawsuits) they weren’t being treated fairly by their employer.

Not what I really wanted to hear, being I ordered a car and Iam waiting to see what the scheduled build date is.

There, I fixed it for you…

Do not say that. the build is excepted at the factory. just waiting for them to start the build. they say the 2023 builds will not open for a few months, so I hope they don’t make me wait for that. From what I am seeing they are still building the 2022. I guess time will tell.

What sort of vehicle are you ordering WW?

I haven’t ordered my 2023 Lexus NX 450h+ because they haven’t yet posted any info about the 2023 model prices, colors, or option packages. As soon as they do, I’m off to a dealership, but I wish that Lexus was as forthcoming as the mfr of whatever make and model that you are ordering.

Well I was dead set on the new corvette but it is a year and a half wait.
so then I went to order the mach 1 mustang and the books are closed. so now I ordered the wide body scat pack challenger. yeah I know the gas, the gas. but YOLO.

Not sure what you were going to say, but waiting f 1 1/2 years for your new Corvette Mustang Challenger, frustrating for sure, but overall doesn’t seem too much of a burden. Compare you vs me for example. You have no Corvette Mustang Challenger to drive for 1 1/2 years. Meanwhile I have no Corolla to drive. The difference is you’ll eventually be driving your Vette 'Tang Challenger … lol …
