my 2000 Dodge Grand caravan loses its gauges every so often. engine light comes on as well as ABS
had trouble last time I posted, so here’s the details;
ABS light goes out when gauges come back, engine light stays for a while afterwards. top panel with engine, ABS, airbag and blinkers continues to work, all lights and gauges on the main panel and the rear wiper doesn’t until they come back. airbag light goes on and off separately (has since stayed on) horn and cruise control have just recently stopped working
All of those functions go through the Body Control Module. It is possible the BCM is malfunctioning. However, cold solder problems on the backside of the gauge cluster is also a possibility. Check out this thread to see some of the other problems this can cause.
