Gaskets, 79' Chevy

I have two questions. First, my 79’ inline six cylinder has to unknown flat panels on the side. these panels are leaking, but I do not know what they are called, so i cannot buy a new gasket. I have blue atv silicone gasket maker. Can I use the silicone to make gaskets for those side panels and my valve cover?

Pushrod covers, fit new gaskets, they are easy to get and are very cheap.
