Gas gauge not working right

Did you have the engine running while refueling?

Thereā€™s an access panel located under the rear seat on the driverā€™s side. That gives you access to be able to remove the pump/float assembly. Thereā€™s several YouTube videos on it. Hereā€™s a couple:

Itā€™s in the gas tank, where the gas is, Doug.
In the gas tank.

As said easy peasy but for the .7. Labor hours plus parts, do you really want to do it? You have one car so mess up and you are walking, compared to having a cup of coffee in the waiting room.

OK, refilled the tank, and the gauge now works perfectly. It seems to have gotten somewhat stuck on some fillup.

My question about where the sensor was located precipitated a stupid comment as ā€œin the gas tank, dummy!ā€. What I wanted to know what how to easily access it. The answer is that the access port is under the back seat. Who would have guessed? There is a door there.

I donā€™t think my comment was stupid. It answered the question you asked. If you meant to ask ā€œHow do I access the gas gauge floatā€ why did you ask " So where do I find information on exactly where the float is located? Itā€™s only easy to do if you have a clue where it is."?
