I just bought a can at a gas station and I feel really stupid now, after reading some forums on the internet. But I wanted a professional opinion from you guys. Is this safe to use on my car? I have a 2004 Lexus RX330, silver color. Their website is www.FW1shine.com but does not seem to be working at the moment. Thanks.
There is no way I’d use this stuff on my car. Unless dirt is removed prior to any attempt to rub it (say, for example, to wax it) it’ll become suspended in whatever your rubbing it with and act as an abrasive.
The good news is that the abrasions are probably not visable to the naked eye. Once any residue of this stuff is gone you can wash and wax your Lexus and it should look good as new. Repeated use of this product would, however, destroy your clear coat.
Do you rub the spray in or just wipe it off. If it’s a wipe off wax and wash isn’t the idea that the dust will be removed with the wax wash mix and some residual wash wax will remain as a wax/protectant.
