My fuel pump is about 5psi low. Is that enough to justify replacing it. The car likes to buck when accelerating. Had the cat converter tested. It was in good shape. Replace plugs and wires a while back. Regular maintenance. 2002 Monte Carlo SS 100k miles.
where are you measuring the pressure? There is a fuel pressure regulator in there somewhere, so you need to determine if the pressure is low from the pump, or if the regulator is off.
Yes. If the reading is 5 PSI below spec the fuel pump requires replacement.

Is there a spec & test for pump volume (gal per minute)?
This would help to judge whether it’s the pump or regulator.
I’d test the regulator first. Maintaining pressure is it’s only job.
