Does anyone know if 88 chevy trucks had any problems with fuel pumps. I don’t know if its carberated or throttle body(haven’t looked). Truck was sitting along time and after I bought it and drove it home , I couldn’t get it started again?
I had one of those it was TBI with an in tank fuel pump. Try squirting some starter fluid spray into the intake and see if it spits or starts and runs briefly. That will let you know if it’s fuel or something else…
yes it should be throttle body. Most common problem with feul system is hose between fuel pump and pipe fails resulting in too low fuel pressure. fuel pressure should be 9-13 psi.
