misfire when cold only… changed plug, plug wires, fuel injector and coil pack
How are you determining it is a misfire?
The check engine light flashes during misfires. sets misfire code cyl 4. the cylinder compression checked good by dealer mechanic and coolant system pressure test good. so its not valve or head gasket leak. with my posting of all i have replaced what else could it be???
I have the same problem with my 1996 Taurus. It misfires on cylinder 2 when cold. But it mostly misfires at low throttle or idle. I’m almost positive it has nothing to do with ignition since it usually is fine above about 25% throttle. I only changed the plugs and wires. I’m kind of suspecting the computer. I’ll have to check the waveforms on the injectors next.
