Well it was Florida so no snow. I just said it had very slow pick up. I didn’t want to buy one, just rented it. I don’t drag race. But it didn’t have very good cargo space either.
Not to disappoint but we have rarely had enough snow in Minnesota while needing to drive to even give the awd a good test.

With all the advancements in AI technology (hardware and software) - we’re still decades away from that ever happening on a large scale. There are many approaches to AI. The closest to a real thinking machine is one that AI approach that is mimicking a humans Brain neuron. We have over 80 BILLION Neurons and over 100 TRILLION synapses in our brains. Even with all the advances in computers and software in the past 40 years we’re not even close to emulating a brain yet. Building computers to emulate a human brain and nervous system
Many people think computers can think NOW. They can’t. Not even close. It’s simulated. Chess is a very complicated game to play and infinitely more complicated to master, yet there are software programs you can download now to your laptop that can beat all but the very best Grand Masters.
That’s true but whatever it is, doesn’t need to be anywhere close to the functioning capacity of a human brain to be capable enough to be either beneficial or a serious problem for us
AI doesn’t need to be physically capable- as a standalone entity. Almost everything is internet connected already. All it needs to do is interact with the infrastructure already in place.
Movies are just movies but watch “Afraid” if you haven’t already. Entertaining, eye opening and thought provoking…“Ex Machina (2014)” is another great sci-fi movie in a similar vein…
Currently it takes a team of scientists over a year to map a 3D image of a protein. AI has been able to do this modeling in a day. Let me know when humans can do it that fast.
What’s more important: 3D imaging proteins, or replacing loose tie-rod ends or warped brake rotors on a car, or replacing a flapper in a run-on tollet?
Depends on who you ask. Modeling proteins helps providing binding sites and ways to combat diseases. So, which is more important - replacing a tie-rod or finding a cure to a disease your 5yo child will die from in 3 years? I know what my answer would be.
