My Wife has a 99 Ford Contour that was running poorley. She had the oil changed and I bought spark plugs for it. When I changed the plugs one came out covered in oil. The car had not been burning oil or overheating.
Which end of the plug is the oil on ?
A 2.0 dohc 4cyl that age may need a valve cover gasket.
There was some oil on the first plug on shoulder above the threads but the third plug had oil on the inside like it was in the cylinder.but maybe it got there when I pulled the plug out.Never thought of that.
