Engine

I have a 89 Caprice Broughham small 8 cylinder with about 150,000 miles.

Works fine. We take it on long trips 500+ miles. When at high speeds and wi=hen I again press down on excleerator, the engine make a chugging noise before i AM able to proceed. I’ve had tune ups and other regular mantenance. I even had carb rebuilt onece. I’ve owned it for past 5 years/75,000 miles.

Is this a resent thing or always has done it??
by regular maintenance, would this include a fuel filter??

Is this throttle bodied fuel injected? or carbureted?? multiport fuel injected?

might be a slight vacuum leak

It’s been doing it a number of years.
Fuel filter has been replaced when needed
I believe carbureted
