I have 2003 jetta, 1.8. in shop and had broken timing change and bad valves due to timing chain problems. the head was shopped and when I got the car back, ignition key only works on turned one way, not either way, one door lock works, others don’t work and car doesn’t eccelerate when you first puch pedal. are these things all realitive and do you have an idea what is causing this problem?
I think you have two problems, one is a wiring problem (the key and locks) and the other a valvetrain timing problem (the acceleration lag). The shop that did the chain and replaced the head should correct these for you.
