Economy/Inexpensive Car

I’m driving 1988 dodge shadow has timing belt 170000 mi. have not spent more than 2000 in repairs over life of car. Good reasonabe mech. and change belt reg 50000 or so. Not recomending shadow just know mech devices need service. Also depends on your driving situation. Look for auto under 100000 and u might get 200000 out of it.

Kia has come a long way in reliability, according to the auto magazines. They seem to like the Optima full-size sedan. It can be had with either the four or six cylinder. The offer a smaller one that competes directly with the Corolla, but I can’t think of the name. A buddy of mine bought one new and has had zero complaints. On the American side, the discontinued Chevy Cavalier is a good buy. It’s easy on the pocketbook and cheap to insure. Great mileage, too.
