I’d worry the electric motor’s higher acceleration capabilities compared to the original gasoline engine could make an older classic unsafe to drive. I went to an auto show last summer where someone had “upgraded” an older British classic from it’s original 40 HP motor to a 300 HP version, and they had to completely revise the suspension, steering, axle system to support the new motor.
