Does battery connecting order make a difference to the electronics?

My 2cents:slight_smile: I have forever believed that the connection order for jump starting a car was positive first and negative to chassis (negative ground of course) was to prevent a spark NEAR the battery to preclude igniting the Hydrogen gas that a battery can produce.:sparkler:
How close am I to right hear

Of course my Dad always tested a battery by shorting it out with battery pliers (what most folk call channel locks)

The question is about the best connection order so the vehicle’s electronics modules initialize properly on power up.
