There’s a difference between resistance and feedback. Some system are programmed to maintain the same level of required effort from you regardless of what the tires are doing. The required effort may be higher but it stays the same once you’ve turned off center. That is usually referred to as numb steering. Most consumers want to have that. But I find myself making constant steering correction with such a setup. There’s a delay between what your hands do and what the tires will do and what you’ll eventually see.
Very few steering system are programmed to get out of the way at higher speed age let the natural reaction forces from the tires make it back to the wheel. And this force should increase with cornering force. This is feedback. Manufacturers put great effort into providing feedback. Even the foam that wraps around the steering wheel matters
