The attached article shows how the petroleum industry avoids expensive remediation costs. Those expenses are either shifted to the government (you and me) or are ignored entirely, thus poisoning the environment. If you agree that petroleum businesses should bear the full life cycle costs of their businesses, tell your local and federal representatives. These guys need to be stopped.
