I have a new battery in my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500. The battery becomes dead if the car sits for 2-3 days.
The engine easily starts when the battery is jumped. The charge remains for 2-3 days, but then depletes, and
the battery must be jumped again. How do I diagnose what circuit is depleting the battery?
You should be able to use a multimeter to detect a power draw*. Pull fuses one at a time until the power draw drops off. That will at least identify which circuit it is, then you’ll have to figure out which part of that circuit is the problem.

- There will always be a slight drain. The computer stays in a sleep mode watching the vehicle if oyu have a security system installed, and watching for the button depress on the key fob.
Is there anything in the truck that is not working, like a power window or power antenna? That could be draining the battery.
Here you go.
