Tester, I also don’t get your post. I agree that brake fluid needs to be changed on a reasonable interval, but I have no reason to believe that the quicky-lubes of the world are being honest with their customers when they use fancy gizmos or test strips to coerce unknowing customers into unneeded services. They have time and again been proven to only have their profits in mind.
My favorite automotive publication is “Motor” magazine. Lots of good technical information and manufacture info but many times I must hold my nose when reading it as it is heavily slanted towards “how your garage can make more money”.
There exists a “machine” out there whose sole purpose is to teach you how to convince your customers they need xyz service done. When I see lines of text such as “just think of all the profit you are missing” It makes me not want to be one of “them”.
Inform your customers what they need, yes, but a crusade to empty their wallet is disgusting.
