The low coolant warning light comes on periodically on my 95 Pontiac Sunfire.
Should I be worred?
Well, it depends. Are you filling up now and then?
(Don’t get insulted. Some folks reply, “You mean I’m like supposed to?” Duh!)
Anyway, continued loss of coolant is not good. It could be harmless, maybe just a hose or a clamp. You really need to monitor the situation, especially checking for drips underneath.
2.2L?
These were known to have head gasket faults for a few years.
When the low coolant light comes on is the coolant TEMP gauge reading very high too?
