a friend of mine was driving my 2004 subaru outback while going up hill from a stop. while in first, he didnt release the clutch soon enough and really revved the engine resulting in a lot of smoke in engine block and the burned clutch smell throughout car…this is a 3week old clutch (just replaced); should i be concerned that he burned it out completely and now i need to replace it again? the car seems to be handling fine now.
thanks for your help.
I would not worry about it at all. Just keep your friend out from behind the wheel of your car.
should be fine after the smell of the overheated material disappated.
