Civic Dies Shortly After Starting

My '93 Honda Civic on rare occasions after it has been driven and stopped for maybe 5 min. will die about one or two seconds after restarting. When I try to restart again it will stumble a bit the first couple of times then not start at all. After letting it sit for about 10 min. It starts right up as if nothing was worng. This problem is becomming more frequent and in fact has now done it two days in a row. Any ideas on what might be causing this are greatly appreciated.

What is your record of maintenance as prescribed by the manual? (thinking of a joseph e meehan copy and paste!)
