I don’t know if it was because I was being a bit humane or just flat pxxxxx off because the deer wrecked the nose on the car and cost me 2 tires to boot…
Guess the point being that the OP needs a common car with as few gimmicks and frills as possible.
That Laser Light was a gimmick and apparently impressed people at the time as I’ve had several people approach me about “how cool that is…” while wanting to know if it was a large center headlight.
It’s only purposes (at the time) was as a gee-whiz styling feature and it did generate a decent glow in the dark to aid in checking the engine oil or whatever.
Can’t complain about the car; still running and driving well at over 400k miles when I sold it.
A storm blew a large tree branch into the windshield and seeing as how the car was a total screaming bore after so many miles and 15+ years of ownership I just dumped it rather than mess with it. It was going through a quart of oil every 600 miles but most of that was from a leaky rear main seal that I had no intention of fixing as the car had been relegated to being a beater and hauler.
