is the oil pressure gauge dropping at idle a sign of extreme engine wear? it bounces back up on acceleration. yr.2000 with 77K
It could be. But if there’s no unusual noises from the engine when the oil gauge drops, then the first thing to suspect is a faulty oil pressure sending unit.
