i have a 04 ford galexy diesel and it has black smoke coming from the exhust and is running lumpy dose any one know what the problem could be
It’s running too rich. It needs to be looked at to figure out why.
Where are you located? The '04 Ford Galaxy diesel is not a vehicle that is sold in the United States. Car diesel engines are pretty rare here, so while someone here might be able to tell you generally what might be going on, for specifics you’ll probably have to post on a forum more catered to a market in which they sell your car.
I will tell you though, that the catalytic converter isn’t causing this.
