I have 2006 Mercery Mariner and the dome lights come on while im driving, they will stay on for about 10 mins or longer. sometimes they will come on whenn i hit a bump in the road. they also flicker on and off, even when i hit the breaks. took it to a shop and they replaced the hatch switch and they checked all the other door switches but stiil didn’t find the problem. please help
Well, those switches are still the most likely issue. So the next thing I’d do is continue to chase a door switch problem. If at first you don’t succeed…
If your shop doesn’t feel like they can sort it out try a local body shop.
You could also try disconnecting the switches one at a time until the problem stops and you find the culprit… or you run out of switches and are more puzzled than ever.
