Can jumpstarting Amer. V8’s with a 1970’s Toyota Land Cruiser 4 cyl. cause an electrical surge? Meaning, once the V8 is started, can an electrical surge be sent back to the Toyota which will cause it to burn up?
Normally, no, but I’d say it all depends on how the cables were hooked up.
Damage to one or the other vehicle is not uncommon when attempting jump starts.
