Car Dies at low idle

Hello

My 2004 Ford Taurus with 140,000 miles has been dying out of the blue when I slow down or am at a near stop. I’m not sure what could be causing this… Can you help?

Perhaps it is time for a tune up, air and gas filters?

I had the same issue with my 2004 Ford Taurus (3.0 OHV engine). The way I fixed the issue was to replace the O-ring/seal for the IMT valve on the rear of the intake manifold. There is a service bulletin out for this issue. The part number is 87072-S91. You can get it from your local Ford dealer for about 9 dollars.
