Call this past week about the frozen Mini S

I was listening to the show again on PodCast and thought about the reply for how to thaw the ice that was locking in the Mini.

Click and Clack suggested copious amounts of boiling water, for the melt, but doesn’t hot water refreeze faster?

What about adding something to the water that will change the freeze point?

All water freezes at the same temp. Therefore, the hotter water will take a bit longer to cool off and reach the 32 degrees F freezing point.
