For those who don’t know what a TOAD is: http://rvlove.com/2014/01/10/finding-the-ideal-toad/

Because usually a 40+ foot motor home and a tow dolly won’t easily fit in a campsite parking pad. And it’s especially a pain in the butt when it’s not a pullthrough and you have to back the thing in.

Whitey, I might owe you an apology. I was looking around the 'net after posting, and it appears that, while putting the transfer case in neutral protects the transmission, it doesn’t necessarily protect the transfer case. I guess I was just lucky on those occasions I did it.

Main question, would you buy any vehicle that was used to tow behind an RV? It is an automatic transmission, it does have the neutrel tow switch in the truck. There is some kind of chicken wire between the grill and the radiator and it doesnt have any paint damage to the front end.

THanks for the link to TOAD. Very interesting!

Yes, if it passed my mechanic’s inspection, but that also goes for any used car.
