Buick lasable Fuel Pump

The fuel pump can be separated from single inlet line. This is entire assy.

So Yose, you think it maybe just lost its prime and took a while? I’ve never replaced a pump but isn’t there a priming procedure? I know with my diesel, after changing fuel filters you could crank for a half hour if you didn’t purge the air in the lines.

Even in the tank, could the pump not have been attached to the line tightly and what you hear is the pump pulling gas from the bottom of the tank and spraying it right back into the tank…never pushing any fuel through the line.

Yosemite

Well we’ll see if it still runs when it gets close to empty again (which I don’t recommend). If it does, as long as it works who cares why?
