My mom has a 1994 Toyota Tercel and when you mash the brakes it feel like they are bumping on the right side.The brakes and all are good . What could it be?
Describe “bumping”…Is it more like a nasty vibration, a rumble that shakes the whole car and as the car slows down, so does the shaking?
And how do you know that “the brakes and all are good” - apparently not, so do you just mean that there is still enough meat on the pads? That doesn’t mean the brakes are “good”
Remove the wheel and see if the brake caliper bolts are tight. Check that the other bolts in the suspension are tight.
Any good shop should be able to ID and correct that problems quickly. My guess is a bad rotor. I kind of like hellokit’s suggestion as well.
