Brake fitting won't start threading into cylinder port

following up on some old posts - is that a bad thing?

this worked. no leaks after 100’s of miles at least.

Idon’t know about resurrecting all these old posts but its nice to know the OPs are still alive anyway and didn’t kill themselves making the repairs.

@JuniorMint what worked?

@Barkydog the one hard line - cunifer - I was having trouble with I tightened real good to the BMC along with the other two bench bleed lines. They all had soft lines running up into the reservoir. Bench bleed. Then install that whole thing on the booster, guiding the hardline into position at the brake hose simultaneously… also tightened if any wet spots appeared. I think it gave extra room to tighten the nut that was obstructed on the car just enough to produce misery - it has to be tightened fast. I still don’t understand it. I’ll note that the hard line is not available new anymore, and had a go at getting a used - no luck.

Oh I ran a tap in the port carefully too. Scary as hell - the BMC ain’t cheap.

deleted by poster. I didn’t realize I was adding to an old comment on an old thread.
I’m still getting used to the new forum.
