Do you think it is wise to spend money on '97 Olds, 88, for new head gasket, and other damage that might have happened when serpentine belt broke, and overheated?
Look for low mileage replacement engine,if the rest of the car warrants it.
It is very hard to give the go ahead to put money in a engine damaged by overheating,I don’t know the severity of the overheating,did the oil turn to asphalt?
Sell for parts and move on is a possibility.
