Calif DMV is apparently implementing a new type of digital car title called “block-chain”. Is someone here able to offer-up a simple explanation how this works? A summary of its benefits and disadvantages?
Block chain is a security method. It is used by bitcoin to prevent tampering. Here’s an explanation.

Blockchain is a great way to secure documents and fight fraud. In this instance - Car titles. It’s used heavily in Cryptocurrency. Keeps a running encrypted ledger of the data - data in this case is a DMV title.
