This might be a silly question but I was wondering what day or days are best to have a mechanic do his work? I’m assuming weekends are out. Does it really matter if it’s on a Monday after a weekend? Or a Friday before a weekend? Thanks.

For me every day was the same but rushing me made any day a bad day.

Yep, any day that a shop prioritizes speed over quality has the potential to be a bad day. There’s an old saying, “Do you want it done cheap, fast or correctly? Choose one.”

Don’t know about all parts of the US but here in N.E. Oklahoma you are lucky to get a shop appointment the same week as you ask for one . I would not even worry about what day of the week my vehicle was fixed . Yes, I think it was a silly question.

Want it to be a ‘good day’? Call and make an appointment, don’t just drive up.

I doubt it makes much difference for the shop staff, but as a customer I tried to make an appt early in the week. If you know when payday happens, don’t schedule for the day after. That’s usually when workers don’t show up. It’s a good day if you are looking for a job.
