I’ve got a 1992 Nissan Primera 2.0 slx wagon. The belts, I’m guessing, screech when I start the car. After 30 seconds or so this stops and does not recur. Still, is there a simple fix for this? Thanks!
old belt replace…ear plugs?
Check the tension of the belts. Make sure all the pulleys are in good shape and none of associated accessories are faulty. If everything is ok and they still screech, replace the belt(s).
Have the alternator belt replaced if more than 6 years old. Might just need tightening, but I generally find if belts were installed correctly, by the time they get loose they’re old enough to replace.
